Custom Desktop Software

Native desktop applications, engineered for performance.

We design and build cross-platform desktop software on our LaVista runtime, the same foundation behind Axiom: a web UI in front of a C++23 core.

Overview

Electron apps carry a bundled Chromium; raw native toolkits mean building every screen twice. Our desktop work sits between the two. A single-page UI runs inside OS-native webviews through the LaVista runtime, backed by a C++23 core that talks directly to USB, the network, and the filesystem. One codebase ships to Windows and Linux without rebuilding the interface for each platform.

What We Cover

Where Custom Desktop Software engagements add the most value.

OS-Native Webviews

Renders through WebView2 on Windows and WebKitGTK on Linux via LaVista, so the app ships without a bundled Chromium.

Cross-Platform by Default

One C++23 codebase ships to Windows and Linux with native windowing, custom title bars, and platform-correct behaviour.

Web UI, C++ Core

Build the interface in the web stack your team already knows, with C++ to web event binding for the parts that carry the load.

Deep System Integration

Direct access to USB, networking, and the filesystem through our own C++ libraries, IAUSB and IANet.

Real-Time Graphics

Vulkan rendering and data visualization where the application calls for it, using our IAGHI and IAVis libraries.

Reproducible Builds

Delivered on pinned toolchains, so the app still builds the same way years after hand-off.

How We Work

A clear, milestone-driven engagement from first call to hand-off.

01

Discovery

We map your workflows, constraints, and target platforms, then agree on scope and a clear definition of done.

02

Architecture

We design the C++ core, the UI boundary, and the data model, then prove the risky parts with a focused prototype.

03

Build

Iterative delivery on reproducible toolchains, with running builds you can try at the end of every milestone.

04

Ship & Support

Packaging, installers, and signed releases for each platform, plus an agreed window of maintenance and support.
